"ENACO dared to challenge us with new solutions."

SGDS Group has worked with ENACO as a partner in a project for a new automated warehouse and logistics center in Bålsta, just outside Stockholm. Roger Dahlqvist has been the CTO of SGDS Group for seven years and has worked with IT technology throughout his professional career.
How has ENACO assisted you?
We needed to build a new and automated logistics center tailored to our customers' requirements. We wanted a partner who could be with us throughout the entire process, from planning to service maintenance and operation when everything was completed. That's why we initiated the dialogue with ENACO early on. They have been involved in preparations, project planning, layout, and design phase, provided advice when needed, and assisted with specifications for our critical infrastructure.
When needed, they dared to challenge us with new solutions to achieve the functionality we aimed for.
Together with the other partners in the project, they have taken responsibility for the distinction between data centers and other buildings. For example, we had the requirement that the facility should be designed and built according to TIER 3, and that service maintenance could be performed while everything is in operation. It is crucial that the operation is uninterrupted since our customers expect to be able to shop around the clock, all year round. Our systems must be able to run continuously. Therefore, service must be able to be carried out while the business is running. When we are in full operation, this facility is Sweden's most modern warehouse with an automation level of 86 percent.
How has the collaboration been, and how do you think it has worked?
ENACO has taken good care of us from the very beginning. They have shown great commitment and been flexible and responsive. Their project manager has been on-site, working closely with us and the other contractors. We have worked together, and I feel that adaptations and additions to the specifications have not been a problem.
Have you encountered any challenges, and how did you solve them?
We needed two data halls, but there was only space for one data hall in the building itself. ENACO solved this by designing and delivering a prefabricated modular data center. This was placed on the site outside the building, and it turned out to be an excellent solution. The entire project has run smoothly, with ENACO working proactively and being flexible throughout the journey. Even when the project was slightly delayed at the start due to external factors, ENACO handled it smoothly and showed customer focus throughout the process.
What does the collaboration look like in the future?
ENACO will handle ongoing service maintenance through call-offs and take care of the annual inspections of the facility. Their project manager will also be on-site until everything is completed.
Would you recommend others to work with ENACO, and why?
Absolutely, we wanted a partner who was with us throughout the journey, and ENACO has truly been that. They have also contributed to making the solution more efficient and cost-effective. We have worked together on the project, and I think the result was better than expected. A contributing success factor is CEO Mikael Berggren's great commitment. He has really nurtured our collaboration, and we have had a good dialogue throughout the entire project.
